While many use the Twitter service for informal communications, it is efficient for posting press release headlines, event updates and other alerts. Businesses simply enter updates through any web browser or a mobile device. These appear on the company’s Twitter website (http://twitter.com/mindwest), and can appear simultaneously on the organization’s corporate website, mobile devices and other digital outlets. MINDWEST has embedded Twitter into its corporate website in the same fashion that cable news and weather services use a “text crawl” for news alerts.
While Twitter’s corporate business plan continues to evolve, the company recently raised another $35 million in Venture Capital. A quick look at the web traffic on Twitter shows why one analyst described Twitter has having the “best keystroke to value ratio in the world.”
